Nestled among the forests and lakes of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, Evergreen Lodge was founded with a vision as unique as the landscape itself: to bring the spirit of different countries together under one roof, offering guests a journey around the world without ever leaving Trout Lake.
When the Ha Thuc family discovered this historic property, they saw more than a lodge — they saw an opportunity to create a destination where travelers could experience the history, craftsmanship, colors, and artistic heritage of the world's great cultures. Guided by a deep respect for the property's natural surroundings and a lifelong passion for global hospitality, the family carefully restored Evergreen Lodge and gave it a new purpose.

At the core of Evergreen Lodge is the warmth and hospitality of the Ha Thuc family, whose roots trace back to La Chữ Village near the historic city of Huế in Central Vietnam. These enduring values — warmth, respect, and genuine care for every guest — are the foundation upon which the entire lodge is built. From that foundation, the lodge reaches outward.
